A standalone expansion to Best Way and DMS' PC action-RTS Men of War is due to hit digital download and North American retail this fall, 1C and Aspyr said today.

Men of War: Red Tide, as the expansion is called, will see players take control of Soviet "Black Coat" marines and their various air, land and sea-based vehicles throughout "more than 20 missions" set during the Black Sea Campaigns of World War II.

The expansion should look very similar, if not a tad more ...red.

The new campaign is set to be "based on the writings of Soviet scribe Alexander Zorich," the two publishers said, and packs "dozens of new or upgraded units and weapons."

Details on some of the battlegrounds and new units can be found below... Read more

Cryostasis, Other 1C Games Coming to U.S.

Publisher Aspyr has reached an agreement with European publisher 1C Company to bring five 1C-branded PC games--Cryostasis, Death Track: Resurrection, Men of War, NecroVisioN and 4x4 Hummer--to North America later this spring.

Developed by Action Forms, Cryostasis: Sleep of Reason is a survival-horror first-person shooter set in the Arctic Circle in which players explore a frozen ship to find out what damned it and its crew to an icy graveyard. Upon discovering a dead crew member, players can relive their final few moments in order to solve puzzles.

European gamers will see Cryostasis, NecroVisioN and Men of War released on February 20, with Death Track and 4X4 Hummer due out in March.
