Enter the Matrix GONE GOLD

Apr 18, 2003 9:59am CST tags: Matrix, Gone Gold
This press release has the word that Shiny's Enter the Matrix has gone gold, with plenty of time left before it's May 15 shipping date (the same day The Matrix Reloaded opens in theaters). The game will ship for PC, GameCube, PS2 and Xbox.
"Over two years ago, Joel Silver, the producer of `The Matrix' trilogy, and the Wachowski brothers, the writers and directors, envisioned a new way that Hollywood and the video-game industry could work together. Their concept required Shiny to build a video game containing every single element of the Matrix experience, and it was essential that this groundbreaking game be delivered on time with their movie, so Matrix fans could experience it all at once," said David Perry, President of Shiny Entertainment, the game's developer. "Today, those objectives have been met, and soon gamers around the world will enjoy the results of this unprecedented collaboration, gaining a unique insight into the Matrix universe."
You can find several movies from the game here. Please don't suck, please don't suck.

Six Disc Matrix

Apr 15, 2003 9:06am CST tags: Matrix
According to this PC.IGN story, the PC version of Enter the Matrix will ship on no less than six discs. Six! This is why we have DVDs. The six discs will come in a double-DVD styled case though, not like it makes it that much better.
Can you PC gamers cope with a 6-disc version? Guess what? It'll cost "more," too. Infogrames reps didn't bust out the specifics, but we do know the PC version will be somewhat pricier than its console counterparts. So, can you cope? It looks like you'll have to. Time to clear up your games rack, I guess. The game is now only one month away from its May 15th, 2003 worldwide release
