Lord of the Rings Online Trial Depicts Hobbits and Sauron

In case you wanted to visit Middle-Earth without plunking down $49.99 first, Turbine has now launched a trial version of The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar.

The trial allows you to play the game for free for seven days. If you want to continue playing after that, you can purchase the game online or in stores. You'll be able to continue using the character you created for the trial.

The seven day trial is open for players from North America, Australia and New Zealand. Europeans can go here for their trial version.

EA has released a patch for The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-Earth 2 - Rise of the Witch King, updating this strategy game expansion pack to version 2.01. Among other things, it offers a large number of balancing changes, Create-A-Hero improvements and bug fixes.
