Badass Rumble Trailer Offers Instructional Tips

"This handy, dandy instructional video will teach you everything you need to know about the art of the Bancho," publisher Atlus says of its trailer for Kenka Bancho: Badass Rumble, a game "all about you proving yourself as the baddest hombre in town."

Once referred to as "Awesome Master of Badass Beating-Up-People Guys" and slated for next year, Spike's PSP beat 'em up is now due in North America November 10.

'Awesome Master of Badass Beating-Up-People Guys' Game Officially Titled 'Badass Rumble'

Atlus today announced the results of a recent survey meant to help the publisher select the North American title of Kenka Bancho 3, revealing that Spike's PSP beat 'em will be released as "Kenka Bancho: Badass Rumble" in the territory early next year.

"The title was voted in by a 3-to-1 margin, which means that fans strongly felt it was the best fit for the game, or, that they all giggled uncontrollably at the sight of the word 'badass,'" explained Atlus PR and sales manager Aram Jabbari.

I'll admit voting for "Badass Rumble," but to be honest, "Awesome Master of Badass Beating-Up-People Guys" was really starting to grow on me. Sadly, it seems the long-winded phrase was more of a rough translation than an actual possibility.

Publisher Atlus has revealed that it's planning to release Spike's PSP beat 'em up Kenka Bancho 3 to North America, and has sent out a survey to help rename the game.

"The game is all about you proving yourself as the baddest hombre in town, accomplished by putting your fist as ungently as possible into the faces and guts of your opponents," said Atlus, adding that the original Japanese title is essentially the "equivalent of 'Awesome Master of Badass Beating-Up-People Guys.'"

Ah, eyebeams. The ultimate hallmark of the badass.
