For those of you who would prefer working with GTKRadiant instead of JK2Radiant for Jedi Knight 2 maps, there are some tips on getting it to work with that game on Jedi Knight 2 Editing. Also, programmer James Monroe updated his .plan file with a tutorial on bot routes.

Raven sent along a new version of the Jedi Knight 2 tools kit. This fixes a typo in the StarWarsMP.qe4 file. If you don't want to download the 4mb file again, you can also just change the entitypath in the file to "entitypath" "__QERPATHmp_entities.def".

Raven sends word they have released the editing tools for Jedi Knight 2. The 4mb package includes a level editor, two model viewers, and a shader editor/viewer.

3D Spotlight has posted another one of their game tweaking articles. This time they show you how to get more frames per second out of Raven's Jedi Knight 2.

Over at JediKnightII.net is an interview with Jedi Knight 2 scriptwriter Michael Stemmle. He answers several questions related the plot and supposedly some of the inconsistencies of it. If you haven't played the game yet there are some spoilers in there.

Jedi Knight 2 site JediKnightII.net has an updated server file for the game, for Windows and Linux. Several bugs have been fixed as you would expect with a new release.

Jedi Knight II.net has, among other things, a set of unpainted skins for Jedi Knight 2 which were sent to them by Raven. You can use these skins to make your own for the Jan, Kyle, Stormtrooper and Gonk models.

HomeLAN Fed and XGR are both hosting the Win32 version of the Jedi Knight 2 dedicated server program. Like the Linux version, the file is unsupported. It's a mere 257kb download.

Over at JediKnightII.net is an interview with Jedi Knight 2 producer Dan Pettit. They ask him about the lightsaber knock-back, how bodies dissapear , if dismemberment was ever in the game, the walking on wall effect, if LucasArts used any fan feedback, and a few other things.

According to the latest LucasArts Insider email, Raven's Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast will be showing up in stores today. That's a day earlier than previously announced. Now it's fair to say this game is highly anticipated, partly due to Raven's track record of good games and of course the fact that the original game was excellent. Jedi Knight 2 is due out in stores in just a few days, and to make sure there are some good multiplayer servers running when it is, Raven has released the dedicated Linux server. You can grab the 1 meg file from Fileshack. The file is unsupported.

Jedi Center has their own Jedi Knight 2 interview, asking the always accessible Kenn Hoekstra of Raven a few questions about the game. Not just some general interview, they ask questions related to game balancing and the multiplayer options.

Another Jedi Knight 2 Q&A today, this time at Elited.net. They ask Raven's Kenn Hoekstra a few things about the Star Wars FPS. Q&As are about changes to the Quake 3 engine, how the lightsaber movements work, the multiplayer mode in JK2, and force powers choices, among other things.

The Jedi Outcast Mod Central has conducted an interview with Raven designer Chris Foster. They ask him questions about Jedi Knight 2 as you might expect from a Jedi Outcast page. There aren't just questions about mod development though, but also other JK2 related ones. Saw that on VE.

The LucasArts Jedi Knight 2 site has word that Raven's Star Wars game has gone gold! Thanks nova. The game should be showing up in stores in the US on March 29. Also on the site is the new trailer movie available for the non-LucasArts.com members.

The Lucas Arts site has a new Jedi Knight 2 trailer, showing more footage from Raven's Star Wars game. You need to be a registered lucasarts.com member to get the Quicktime movie though. The movie should be available for non-members tomorrow. Thanks Blues News.

A few people have been mailing in saying that EB Games is reporting that Raven's Jedi Knight 2 has gone gold. EB isn't exactly reliable for these sort of things but we'll keep you posted. The game won't be shipping until early April anyway.
