Action Vault has a new IGI 2 Q&A, talking to two people from Innerloop and one from Codemasters about this tactical action game. Questions are mostly related to things the developers enjoy in the game, such as their favorite weapons, favorite enemies, etc.

IGI2 Progress

There is an IGI2 progress report on Worth Playing with some info from Codemasters on how things are going on the title. They've mostly been working on the multiplayer side of things, and testing will start soon. IGI2 should be out by September.

Codemasters has released some new screenshots from IGI 2: Covert Strike, showing the sniper rifle from the game in action.

The power-tool of global special forces, the .50 caliber Sniper Rifle, is one of agent David Jones’ most effective weapons in IGI 2: Covert Strike, Codemasters’ forthcoming PC stealth-based shooter. This handheld semi-automatic .50 caliber rifle fires a slug that weighs a mere 43 grams. Described as the ground-unit equivalent of bombing, it can take out an Armored Personnel Carrier at 1.5 kilometers and is more than capable of taking down an enemy agent at an astonishing 1.8 kilometers. He talks briefly about the five included levels, as well as the tasks you need to complete in these levels, the weapons in the game, the lack of multiplayer options in the preview build and a few other things.
