FiringSquad has a new interview with Landon Montgomery of GearBox Software talking about the official Half-Life expansion pack they are developing.

The Half-Life Expansion pack from GearBox mentioned yesterday will be showing at the GroundZero CPL tournament in NYC Septermber 9th according to Randy Pitchford who coincidentally works at GearBox.

GamePen has posted a new interview with the GearBox Software guys (Randy Pitchford of course.. heh)talking about their Half-Life expansion packed that is planned for release as we approach christmas

The new Half Life client has been released. Get it, you know you want to. Stuff's been fixed, things have been tweaked. See any problems? Something broken? Speak your mind!
Here's a list of fixes:

Feature Additions:
- Mod browser now supports .zip file compression.
- TF Stats included with this update. This will take server log files and create a webpage with the results of the match. Refer to \halflife\tfc\TFStats.htm for instructions.
- Server now allows banning by userid. Refer to TFCServer.htm located in your \halflife\tfc\manual folder.
- Updated TFC manual with information on running a TFC server.

Fixes in this Update:
- Fixed problem where too many packets were being sent at signon that was causing problems for cable modem users.
- Team 4 can now score on 4 player TFC maps.
- Fixed soldier's nail grenades in TFC.
- Demo Playback fixed.
- Userinfo overrun fixed.
- Spies feigning in doorways will no longer drop all clients on server.
- Grenades will no longer detonate if you change teams.
- Dedicated server no longer requires hw.dll for authentication.
- Dedicated server will heartbeat with +map in the command line.

The Half-Life patch is just around the corner, in fact the primary server has already been released if you go to ftp://hlserver:hlserver13@ftp.valvesoftware.com" rel="nofollow" target="_blank" class="external and snag it. As for the client update that will hopefully be this Wednesday. Here are the changes:

This update to Half-Life includes the following changes:
- The mod browser now supports .zip file decompression.
- We've added a new feature for server operators called 'TF Stats', which
takes server log files and creates a web page with the results of your TFC
match. TF Stats also gives awards for various feats accomplished during the
game, like the "Swiss Cheese" award for the person with the most kills using
the assault cannon, and the "Kamikaze" award for the player who dies the
most times by his/her own hand. (Refer to \halflife\tfc\manual\TFStats.htm
for instructions.)
- The server now allows banning by WON uniqueid. (Refer to TFCServer.htm

The GameLinks lads have a spanky new interview with Landon Montgomery of GearBox Software talking about the Half-Life mission pack they are working so hard on down there in Texas.

Well, it looks like that Half-Life patch is taking a little bit longer than anticipated. Can't say I can really complain though considering Half-Life was one of the most bug free 3D Quake engine games I've ever gotten my hands on. Amazingly some people still havent tried Valve's little gem. What are you fartknockers doing?!?! Go pick it up and play the damn game already. Keep an eye on Halflife.org for word on the patch which may hit this weekend.

GameSpot UK has whipped up yet another preview of the Half-Life expansion pack. The pack is still a few months away, think we can keep up the breakneck preview pace?

The guys over at PCGamer have snatched up some new screenshots of the Half-Life expansion pack.

The guys at Half-Life/TFC Console Help have totally revamped their page and are offering up one of the most extensive tweaks for Half-Life lists you can probably find on the net.

Besides revisions to the more than 700 descriptions of console commands and variables listed, there is now a new category   available: Tweaks!  This category includes ONLY the 55 commands and variables that can help you maxmize Half-Life's performance on your computer

GameSpot has posted a new look at the Half-Life Expansion Pack being developed over at GearBox Software. As mentioned late last night, Action Half-Life was released and a few opinions are piling up. Well the GameSpy 3D guys have posted a new GameSpy tab for you to download which will show off all the servers running the mod for your pinging pleasure.

Word from the guys over at ModCentral is that the Eric Johnson has confirmed the next Half-Life patch is in the works and is just about ready to go out the door actually. While we're on the Half-Life tip I saw that Apache mentioned Action Half-Life should be out today. Woo.
