Massive Entertainment updated the Ground Control 2 website, offering a Lite mod SDK for the game. The tools offer "a chance to create, customized, and manipulate all aspects of the powerful Ground Control II engine". A full SDK will be released later this year.

The official Ground Control 2 website is now offering a SaveFixxer utility, which helps restores save games and profiles. Some people lost one or both after installing the 1.0.0.7 patch.

With the game now shipping to stores, Sierra has released the first Ground Control 2 patch, updating the sci-fi RTS game sequel to v1.0.0.7. The 14.5mb update offers new features, bug fixes and balancing changes.

A second Ground Control 2 demo has been released, allowing you to try out the multiplayer features of this sci-fi strategy game sequel. The 213mb demo comes with two tutorial missions, three online multiplayer maps and the single player map from the previously released singleplayer demo. You can play as both factions.

According to this GameSpot story, a Ground Control 2 demo is being released May 25. The 196mb single-player demo will come with two tutorial missions and one campaign mission.
