Telefragged has put together some new video footage of FAKK2 which may be on shelves as early as today in some places. You can grab the high res (.avi) and low res (.mov) versions.

Stomped has gotten word from Mark Dochterman of Ritual Entertainment that the FAKK2 demo should be released within the next couple of weeks. The game is actually scheduled to start showing up on shelves as early as tomorrow though.

We are trying to get the demo out as soon as possible. Either, the end of next week or the week after.

You can also check out Jack's and my own opinion of the game after playing through it during beta testing last weekend. We both kinda dug it. :)

With the announcement of FAKK2 GONE GOLD here is a follow-up from the guys at IMG on the status of the Mac port. It looks like they arent far behind and plan to have it on shelves within the month.

In the best scenario, the Mac version will be out in 3-4 weeks, and include the inevitable PC patch. I can't make any promises or be more specific because at this point

A patch? Oh well such is the way of the PC gaming industry it seems. Even Diablo2 (after years of dev / testing) couldnt escape it. NO ONE CAN!. Also, here is an interview with Julie Strain, the lady who plays the Heavy Metal character most of the time.

According to Stomped, Ritual Entertainment's 3rd person action/adventure game has GONE GOLD and will be in stores as early as Wednesday! FAKK2 is based on the Heavy Metal universe and is powered by the Quake3 engine. No .plan updates by Ritual yet concering this news but I'm sure there will be soon. A demo shouldn't be too far off either, although I don't really know how close it is. Maybe next week?
I'll be going to Ritual myself this week (as am I in Dallas right now), and picking up a gold copy.

update Steve: Just my quick note on FAKK2. After playtesting it all weekend I'd have to say it is one of the better action games I've played and the one-up any game I've seen with their weapon system and hand to hand combat. Exceeded my expectations for sure, and the best part is unlike SIN this one looks like It wont have so many bugs. If you enjoyed Jedi Knight from Lucas this game will be worth grabbing.

update Jack - Ditto. This game went far beyond my expectations. Other than the stuff Steve mentioned, the in-engine cinematics were some of the most impressive I've seen and the levels absolutely rule (one of Ritual's consistent strong points).

Inside Mac Games received a beta copy of FAKK2, snapping ten new screenshots from it (thanks Blues News). Cool looking stuff again, and it's about to go gold any day now. A demo should follow shortly after it does. There's also a new screenshot on ActuJeux.

3DActionPlanet has an edited chat log of the recent Ritual Entertainment chat that covers quite a few questions and candid answers about FAKK2 which is wrapping up.

Actumicro has a hands-on preview of FAKK2, which is about to go gold any day now. There are again many new screenshots showing different parts of the levels, and even the menu interface.

German site Games Zone has a new preview of FAKK2, and contains a big amount of new screenshots. The preview is in German of course, but here's the Babelfish link for a crude English translation. Thanks LeftE.

The guys at ActuJeux have scored some of the best FAKK2 screenshots I've seen yet. Keep in mind that Ritual Entertainment is actually shooting to go gold with the game this Friday.

3D Action Planet has a new FAKK2 preview, looking at the aspects of the game such as the engine enhancements and the inventive combat system. There are also four new screenshots.

Over at FAKK You is a new preview of FAKK2, based on hands on beta testing at the Ritual office. It contains a good amount of new info on the game, and also features two new screenshots.

Mentioned this yesterday in a follow-up but here's an item dedicated to it. Ritual Entertainment released some FAKK2 screenshots yesterday, but they were kinda low res. I scored the high-res versions as one of those HOT NASTY EXCLUSIVES.

A couple of things from the Gathering of Developers. Firstly FAKK2 from Ritual Entertainment as has been mentioned earlier is nearing completion. They released these 10 new screenshots on the website. Here is a link to the official FAKK2 page. In addition to that, Gathering has just announced a special edition of KISS: Psycho Circus (Thanks Blues) that will feature autographs from the members of the band (!) as well as the developers from ThirdLaw who created the game. ... a KISS poster signed by all four band members, a mini-strategy guide, special CD artwork autographed by the entire development team at Third Law Interactive, and a reprint of the official KISS back stage pass laminated from the Psycho Circus Tour.

JeffK has scored the exclusive this morning on a new FAKK2 screenshot sent in by Levelord of Ritual. You can check out Richard's .plan update on the subject.

According to AVault, Ritual's 3rd person action/adventure game powered by the Quake3 engine, FAKK2 is due to go gold soon and appear in stores in August. That would be a month sooner than was previously announced. We'll see what happens, you can take almost every release date with a grain of salt nowadays.
