GameSpot has posted a Q&A with John Carpenter, asking the movie director about his involvement with F.E.A.R. As it turns out, Carpenter recently signed on as a spokesperson for the game. GameSpot also has a new preview, going hands-on with the retail version of the game. IGN does so as well.

Vivendi Universal Games sends along a press release announcing that Monolith's horror action game F.E.A.R. has gone gold, and will ship to stores around the world October 18. We'll also see a multiplayer demo of the game later this month (the singleplayer one is already out, grab it here).

Sierra's website now offers a listing for a F.E.A.R. Director's Edition, which will include a behind the scenes documentary, roundtable commentary by developers, F.E.A.R. machinima, a F.E.A.R. comic book and live action "Declassified" interviews with Alma. As expected, the F.E.A.R. singleplayer demo is now available. It's a 647mb demo, though at the moment it's not known what exactly is included. Monolith's first person shooter is due out later this year.
