Art & Design: Finding the Balance at Empire Earth II University is a GameSpy article format interview with Mad Doc Software's Ian Davis, asking him balancing issues. Davis mentions the game has "350 combat units, over 220 buildings, nine gameplay modes, three game paces, a dozen population cap settings, 10 player multiplayer, and six or seven map sizes" and so a large part of balancing in Empire Earth 2 was automated.
