Fans of Mistwalker's much-anticipated Xbox 360 RPG, Blue Dragon, may get to download a demo of the title July 20, more than a month before the game's release.

According to TotalVideoGames.com, the latest issue of Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu contains news of an "international demo" arriving later this month. The demo has been rumored to include up to 2 hours of play time, and would most likely contain English voiceovers. Earlier this year, Microsoft revealed that the North American release of Blue Dragon would feature both English and Japanese voice tracks.

Ubisoft sends along a second Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 demo. The 1.77gb download includes the first level from the singleplayer campaign.

Already available on Xbox 360, the PC version of Ubisoft's tactical action game sequel will be released in two weeks. In case you missed it, a multiplayer demo can be found here.

Sony today updated the PlayStation 3's online PlayStation Store, adding Housemarque's Super Stardust HD (pictured left), a free demo of Omega Force's upcoming slash 'em up Dynasty Warriors:GUNDAM, and the new Grand Theft Auto 4 trailer to its offerings.

Building off Housemarque's 1993 Amiga shooter Stardust and its 1995 followup Super Stardust, Super Stardust HD brings the series into the modern era with high-resolution graphics and new weapons. Players defend the game's five different planets from both oncoming enemies and asteroids, with their best scores uploaded to the online leaderboards for global competition. Offline cooperative play is available for two players as well. Super Stardust sells for $7.99.

Well we figure its about time we start throwing in a few more daily features around these parts. Thursday will now be getting the PC demo release treatment as Friday is the media roundup day. So what demos have come out in the last week? Let's take a look:

• Quake 4 Multiplayer Demo
  Support for Quake 4 has been admirable post-release, with continued patches. Its multiplayer demo is worth downloading just to see the Quake 4 version of a classic Quake II DM map. The comments, however, weren't so kind.
• Harry Potter And The Order Of The Pheonix Demo
  As far as Harry Potter games goes this one has been greeted surprisingly well. If you're into this sort of thing, it's worth checking out or sharing with the kids. I had a choice to either play this demo or hit myself with a hammer a few days ago. I chose the hammer. It greeted me well.
• Bee Movie Game Demo
  This one kind of flew under the radar (yeah, I said it). Unsurprising, since the release of the demo comes strangely early given the game's website notes it isn't planned for release until November 2007.

Following the release of the 1.4.2 patch, a new Quake 4 multiplayer demo is now available. The demo uses the game code from that patch, and includes three levels. A Linux version is available as well.

Blizzard today announced that its eagerly-anticipated strategy sequel StarCraft 2 will be in playable form at this year's BlizzCon convention. Demo stations will be set up throughout the grounds, allowing players to participate in multiplayer battles.

Earlier this month, Blizzard also revealed that it would be handing out beta keys to attendees for an as-yet unnamed title. Unfortunately for fans, Blizzard VP of game design Rob Pardo told MSNBC last month that StarCraft 2 will not make it to stores this year. "Some people were hoping, because of how advanced the game looks, that we'd have it out by Christmas, but that's definitely not happening," he said.

BlizzCon 2007 will be held on August 3-4 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California. To those looking to get in on the action, know that BlizzCon tickets are currently sold out.

A demo for the arcade space-shooter Project Sylpheed (X360) is now available on the Xbox Live Marketplace. Based on the top-scrolling shooter Silpheed, which saw release on the PC and Sega CD, Project Sylpheed was developed by Game Arts and published by Square Enix.

While the original Silpheed titles were fixed-path shooters, this spiritual sequel gives you full control over your ship as you battle through hordes of enemy fighters. Ship upgrades can be carried out in between battles, and for those wanting more than a simple arcade shooter, a full storyline is told through 50 minutes of cutscenes.

Project Sylpheed is set to hit stores on July 10th, at the affordable price of $40.

Now available at FileShack is the PC demo of Overlord, the Triumph Studios-developed fantasy action adventure game. In the 1.06gb demo, you assemble a team of Brown Minions (brawlers) and unleash them on the unsuspecting population of the game's Mellow Hills area.

New at FileShack this afternoon is the Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 multiplayer demo. The 1023mb download includes one map, and two game modes: Recon vs Assault & Team Deathmatch. The PC version of Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2, developed by GRIN independently from the console build of the game, will ship later this month.

New at FileShack this morning is the DiRT: Colin McRae Off-Road demo. The 834mb download includes three tracks and three race types. DiRT is due out next month on PC and Xbox 360.

You can now try out the PC version of Capcom's third person sci-fi shooter Lost Planet: Extreme Condition, with DirectX9 and DirectX10/Vista flavors available. This demo includes the same two levels found in the Xbox 360 singleplayer demo.

Following the surfacing of a movie earlier this week featuring gameplay from a tech demo of Black Isle Studios' canceled Fallout 3--codenamed Van Buren--Fallout fan site No Mutants Allowed (NMA) has now posted the 241 MB playable tech demo, which we have mirrored on FileShack.

Battlefront.com has released a demo for Theatre of War, a new tactical World War 2 strategy game. The 654mb demo includes 5 tutorials and one campaign mission.

Over at FileShack you can find a demo for ArmA: Combat Operations, the game better known as Armed Assault. The 876mb download includes three multiplayer modes, three singleplayer missions and a limited version of the mission editor. Bohemia's tactical action game will hit US stores May 1st.

Atari and FileShack are working together to hand out free digital copies of the full version of Armed Assault. People who download the demo through FileShack are automatically entered into the game giveaway, with winners to be selected at random.

Stardock has released a Galactic Civilizations II: Gold Edition demo, which includes the core game and the Dark Avatar expansion pack. The 424mb download offers

- Hard coded to the mid-range settings on all setup options
- No scenarios
- No custom maps
- Up to 4 players per game (i.e. 3 computer-controlled)

According to this story on inCrysis, translating a PCGames.de report, we'll be seeing a singleplayer and multiplayer demo for Crysis. These demos are in addition to a beta. The demos are expected not long before the game's Q3 2007 release.

Over at FileShack you can now find a Red Ocean demo, offering a singleplayer mission from this upcoming deep sea shooter. For more information on the game, check out the official site.

DreamCatcher sends along the Genesis Rising singleplayer demo, allowing you to check out this new space strategy game from Metamorf Studios. The demo includes three tutorial missions and two singleplayer campaign missions. Genesis Rising - The Universal Crusade ships to North American stores this week.

As expected, a Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars demo is now available. The 1.18gb download includes a tutorial level, two campaign missions and a skirmish map.
