Developed by Airtight Games and published by Capcom, Dark Void hits PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on January 12 in North America and January 15 in Europe.

Combining two of the latest trends in gaming, Capcom has debuted a GameStop-exclusive pre-order bonus for Dark Void with the below spooftacular video.

In short, pre-ordering Dark Void from GameStop nets you a download code for the "golden jetpack," which provides aspiring virtual rocket men with "unlimited boost." Explains the kid in the video: "Now I've got more boost than my sister's push-up bra."

Developed by Airtight, a studio founded by Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge veterans, the action game is due on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 come January 12.

Publisher Capcom today announced that Airtight Games' jetpack-tastic Dark Void will launch in North America on January 12, 2010, then land in Europe on January 15.

Capcom expects to sell 2 million copies of Dark Void by April 2010, having delayed the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 vertically-oriented shooter to "Avoid competition."

Jet pack-tastic action game Dark Void has been delayed into 2010 "to avoid competition with releases of major titles of other companies," publisher Capcom announced today.

The Airtight-developed PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 game was previously expected to hit North American and Europe by the end of September 2009, going by Capcom's past financial documents, with the title now due between January 1 and March 31, 2010.

Capcom also noted expectations that the game will sell 2 million copies by April 2010.

Airtight Games' latest Dark Void developer diary explains that its jetpack is delightfully not your usual smooth, clinical, boring video game jetpack, rather "It feels like you've just strapped a 30lb rocket to your back, and when you hit the 'go' button there's that moment of chaos where your arms and legs are flailing and you- you take off." Marvellous.

Publisher Capcom has yet to announce a release date for Dark Void, which is being developed for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Airtight Games' first Dark Void developer diary tells of the dangers and mysteries its "everyman cargo pilot named Will" must confront as a gun-toting rocketman after an accident in the Bermuda Triangle traps him in a vertigo-inducing alternate dimension.

No word on a firm date for the Capcom-published for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 game.

Revving up the Dark Void hype machine, publisher Capcom has released a new teaser trailer for Airtight's rocket pack-powered shooter. The game still doesn't have a firm release date, but we do know that it'll hit PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Capcom today released a fresh set of screenshots for Airtight Studios' Dark Void, an upcoming third-person sci-fi action adventure title bound for the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Combining elements of aerial and on-foot combat set in a parallel universe, Dark Void casts players as Will, a pilot who happens upon the Void inside the Bermuda triangle. As you might've already guessed, Will takes up the unlikely position as leader of a group called the Survivors, resistance fighters battling an alien race that threatens to invade Earth.
