The second downloadable map pack for Call of Duty: World at War will be available for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 players tomorrow, developer Treyarch has announced.

Priced at 800 Microsoft Points ($10), the June 11-due download adds four new multiplayer arenas to the war-centric shooter. LittleBigPlanet's Shadow of the Colossus Sackboys

Jun 09, 2009 2:55pm CST tags: LittleBigPlanet, DLC, PlayStation Store, Shadow of the Colossus
Yesterday, LittleBigPlanet developer Media Molecule clued us into the Team ICO downloadable content for its physics-driven PlayStation 3 platformer, promising "costumes, stickers and sound effects" inspired by Ico and Shadow of the Colossus.

Shadow of the Colawwwsus.
Following through on the Ico and Yorda costumes, the studio has now unveiled three Colossus costumes, featuring protagonist Wander plus foes Quadratus and Gaius. Quadratus even features a tiny (presumably static) rendition of Wander on his arm, who is no doubt looking to drive a blade into the beast's glowing weak point--how cute!

The whole of the Team ICO-LittleBigPlanet DLC arrives in the PlayStation Store on Thursday. Pricing details aren't yet available. Such content is traditionally sold in a bundle, with "premium" costumes usually sold individually at around $1.99 a pop.

Fallout 3 'Point Lookout' DLC Impressions: Look Out! Inbred Mutated Locals!

Jun 03, 2009 3:53am CST tags: Fallout 3, E3 2009, DLC, Preview
As the ferry docks in the decrepit amusement park, complete with the ruins of ferris wheel poking above the rows of run-down and long-shuttered booths, I find myself already facing one of those tricky moral conundrums Fallout 3 is known for. Do I explore this fascinating post-apocalyptic wonderland, or head off to that mansion on the hill?

Fortunately, in this instance, it really doesn't matter. At roughly one-fifth the size of Fallout 3's initial game world, the entirety of the new landmass that the June 23-due Point Lookout DLC adds to Bethesda's action-RPG is open from the start, enabling you to ignore that quest about the ghoul in the mansion and just explore the wetland.

That lighthouse out in the distance? That cathedral on the hilltop, ever-so-slightly obscured by the murky haze that permeates the swampy area? Go for it... Read more

Developer Infinity Ward today took the stage at Microsoft's E309 Media Briefing, announcing that the Xbox 360 will receive two downloadable map packs before any other platforms and walking attendees through a mission called "Cliffhanger."

The mission began on an icy ledge, with players forced to climb up the side of a mountain by manually swinging ice hooks, via the triggers on the Xbox 360 controller.

The relatively quiet mission devolved into a firefight on an airfield, with enemy troops ambushing the on foot and on snowmobiles. The player then commissioned a snowmobile, speeding through the snowy wilderness whilst shooting a gun.

Expect more details as our E3 coverage continues. The game itself is due on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on November 10.
