Electronic Arts sends along some Crysis media, showing off the upcoming sci-fi shooter from Far Cry developer Crytek. Over at FileShack you can find the high-def, direct-feed GDC 2006 trailer and locally we have a couple of screenshots.

CryEngine 2 Overview

1UP has posted an article going over the features of CryEngine 2, the engine used by Crysis from Far Cry developer Crytek (notice a theme here?). The game itself is previewed in the March issue of Computer Gaming World.

Crysis Announced

EA and Crytek today officially announced the development of Crysis, the first person action game they started work on back in 2004. The CryTek Engine 2 powered PC game will depict mankind's struggles against an alien invasion and feature tactical combat and customization of weapons and armor. No release date is mentioned. Over at FileShack you can find a CryEngine 2 tech demo movie from a while back.
