Belgian game site Spelletjes Garnaal just keeps on coming with the E3 videos. This time they have a gameplay movie from Westwood's upcoming FPS Command and Conquer: Renegade.

Stomped has an interview this morning. They chat with the executive producer of the Command and Conquer FPS Renegade, Dan Cermak. They ask him what the cause of shipping delays is, what Renegade brings to the FPS genre, the story of the game and more.

FiringSquad has managed to get a look at the upcoming C&C universe FPS title C&C Renegade in development at Westwood. Included in the preview of the title are quite a few screenshots. Looks pretty cool but I dunno about those weapon models.

Russian site Game Over has five new screenshots from the upcoming Command & Conquer: Renegade FPS game. Thanks Blues News. The new ones are the first image in the first row and the first four in the second row.

GSUK is sporting a new C&C Renegade interview with the producer working on the project. They recently released a few more screenshots of the game when the new website went online.

PC Gameplay has a lenghty C&C Renegade interview this morning, talking to Westwood's Joe Selinske about this 1st/3rd person action game. There's questions about the structure of the game, multiplayer modes, the engine and a bunch of other things.

The GameSpot guys recently got a look-see at C&C Renegade over at Westwood Studios which was just recently announced to be making the move to an FPS game.

Blues News and Stomped have received a statement from Westwood about the C&C Renegade preview that CVG posted (see story) saying the first person shooter in the Command & Conquer universe would only offer about 10 hours of gameplay in 11 levels, and that a sequel would already be in development.

... The CVG article stated that it is possible to play through Renegade in under 10 hours. While that may be true for game pros, or those that have played through the game several times, an average gamer may take up to 30 hours to finish the single-player campaign.
In addition, it is true that there are 11 environments in Renegade. This should not, however, be mistaken for 11 levels. Each of the environments in Renegade is enormous and equivalent to multiple "levels" in other first-person shooters. I am confident that Renegade will offer as much, if not more, gameplay than other FPS games that are currently on the market or due to come out soon.
One other minor point. We do not currently have a sequel to Renegade in production ...

Well isnt this strange. C&C Renegade in development over at Westwood Studios has evolved into a FPS game much like a couple other popular upcoming titles. Halo from Bungie and Metroid from Retro. According to the preview over at PCZoneUK (Thanks Blues) Renegade [screenshots] will be offering the option of a 3rd person mode but the FPS perspective will be the default:

"The game was going to be third-person as we thought that this would be the best way to see your character in the environment. You can see him shooting, rolling, ducking, dodging, and you have a better idea of where you are in the environment.", explains Mike. "We've discovered since that on a PC more people play from the first-person and like that style of game better, so we thought that it'd be great to keep the third-person style and add a first-person mode."

Westwood Studios has released some new images of the vehicles we can expect to see in their upcoming C&C Renegade 3rd person shooter that looks really pretty wacky. Here's one of the shots:

The C&C Renegade website has posted a couple of snapshots from the 3D action game they are working on there based on the C&C universe. The game has been in development for a couple years now. I tried to find the Shack images of Renegade from E3 of last year but could only find this picture of a chicks butt.  Thanks Stomped
