EVE Online developer CCP has officially released the first trailer for its console MMO-FPS hybrid Dust 514, previously seen only only in shakycam footage.

DUST's infantry and vehicular combat takes place on planets in the EVE universe and will aid the advances of corporations in the PC MMO. Like its elder sibling, DUST has player advancement but no fixed classes. Eurogamer reports 514 will be supported by microtransactions for in-game items when it eventually hits current-gen consoles.

The MMO based on White Wolf's World of Darkness vampire/werewolf franchise is scheduled to launch in 2010, according to CCP financial documents noticed by VideoGaming247.

"CCP is currently working on new projects, the largest of which is World of Darkness, a MMOG that is scheduled to launch 2010," reads the document.

EVE Online developer CCP began production on the vampire MMO after acquiring White Wolf in late 2006.

CCP marketing director Magnus Bergsson had previously guessed at a 2011 release date for the title.

Economy Might Force EVE Online Dev. Out of Iceland

Dec 23, 2008 6:35pm CST tags: EVE Online, CCP
Ever-worsening economic conditions may force EVE Online and World of Darkness MMO developer CCP to relocate its main operations outside of Iceland.

"The present currency restrictions are putting us in a straitjacket," CCP's Eyjolfur Gudmundsson told The Guardian. "We are in talks with the government, but if we can't let capital in, we might be compelled to leave Iceland, even though this would be against our wishes."

Iceland has been hit particularly hard by the recent credit crisis, as the country's currency, the krona, has plummeted in value. This has caused foreign debts to significantly increase, with the government recently taking control of the nation's three biggest banks.

At present, Iceland's unemployment rate is sitting at at 5.4%, according to IcelandReview. At this time last year, the unemployment rate sat at a mere 0.8%.

Perhaps forunately, CCP's base of operations in Reykjavik, Iceland is not its only office. In October 2007, CCP opened a branch in Atlanta, Georgia dedicated to producing game content, while the Iceland office was tasked with the technical end of things.
