Electronic Arts today confirmed that their 3D strategy game C&C Generals has gone gold, something which was mentioned in a GameSpot preview last night. The latest Command and Conquer game will ship to stores February 11.
Command & Conquer Generals puts players' trigger fingers on the pulse of modern warfare as they become a powerful general and control massive armies of bleeding-edge military weaponry. Three unique sides will be available, each with customizable high-tech arsenals ready to deliver unprecedented firepower on land or in the skies. Westwood sent out this press release annoucing a preorder program for EA Pacific's upcoming C&C Generals. People who order from participating retailers (EB, GameStop, CompUSA among others) will get several exclusives such as a fold-out tech tree card for all units, a CD-Rom with concept art, music and movies, a unique indicator for the player in the game and more. C&C Generals will be out February 11.

C&C Generals Boxing

Westwood sent out this press release announcing that C&C Generals will be released in three different boxes. Each of the three boxes shows a different faction (U.S., China and the Global Liberation Army) from the game and "when placed side-by-side, the three images form a continuous modern warfare scene". There will be a limited amount of these boxes, once the initial run is sold out, EA will only sell the game in the U.S. box.
