Boom Blox Bash Party Arrives May 19

Following up on word that Boom Blox Bash Party was due sometime in May, publisher Electronic Arts today nailed down a specific release date for the Wii sequel: May 19.
The EA Casual-helmed sequel to last year's block-busting fan-favorite Wii title Boom Blox, Bash Party adds new levels and modes, along with a central location for owners to share and download custom levels from other community members and EA itself.

Once again made with the involvement of visionary director Steven Spielberg, Boom Blox Bash Party and its variety of new levels and modes are due out on Wii later this spring.

First Boom Blox Sequel Screenshots

Following this morning's revelation of Boom Blox Bash Party, publisher Electronic Arts has issued the first two screenshots from the EA Casual Studios-developed sequel.

Expanding upon the original block-busting physics-based Wii puzzler, Bash Party will pack new levels, new multiplayer modes, and the ability to download and share user-created levels when it hits Wii later this spring.

Electronic Arts today announced Boom Blox Bash Party, a sequel to the Steven Spielberg-produced, Jenga-esque Wii party game.

According to a release, the Bash Party will feature new multiplayer modes and over 400 fresh levels. The game will also allow players to download both EA and user-created levels.

"We know families and friends really enjoyed playing the original 'Boom Blox' together, so we designed more explosive multiplayer experiences with 'Boom Blox Bash Party'," said Spielberg, who enthusiastically described the series as a "wild social gaming experience."

Boom Blox Bash Party will hit the Wii this spring.
