The PC and Mac editions will sport the same content found in the already available console versions, including the 86 on-disc tracks, the music studio, and support for guitar, bass, drum and vocal play. No mention was made of downloadable content.

It's not the first time that Aspyr has brought Guitar Hero to the PC, as the company has previously worked on the late-arriving Guitar Hero 3 and Guitar Hero Aerosmith ports.

Puzzle Quest: Galactrix PC Release Date Announced

The PC version of Puzzle Quest: Galactrix will launch on February 24, the same day that the Nintendo DS edition heads to stores, D3Publisher and Aspyr have announced.

Aspyr will handle the digital and retail distribution of the PC version in North America, with the downloadable PC version slated to be sold on Game Agent. The second entry in the Puzzle Quest series was developed by franchise creator Infinite Interactive.

While D3Publisher has only said that the downloadable PS3 and Xbox 360 releases of the addictive puzzle-RPG will arrive in "early 2009," it seems a safe bet to assume that they'll arrive within the same timeframe as the PC and Nintendo DS editions.

Cryostasis, Other 1C Games Coming to U.S.

Publisher Aspyr has reached an agreement with European publisher 1C Company to bring five 1C-branded PC games--Cryostasis, Death Track: Resurrection, Men of War, NecroVisioN and 4x4 Hummer--to North America later this spring.

Developed by Action Forms, Cryostasis: Sleep of Reason is a survival-horror first-person shooter set in the Arctic Circle in which players explore a frozen ship to find out what damned it and its crew to an icy graveyard. Upon discovering a dead crew member, players can relive their final few moments in order to solve puzzles.

European gamers will see Cryostasis, NecroVisioN and Men of War released on February 20, with Death Track and 4X4 Hummer due out in March.
