You can also think of it as a preorder bonus, as only those that pre-buy the game will be able to play Extraction in the first month of the game's release. Bummer.

Army of Two: The 40th Day Preview

Mar 20, 2009 1:41pm CST tags: Army of Two: The 40th Day, Preview
"That would be awesome to make the gayest game ever."

"There's a quote for you."

I'm sitting in on a demonstration of Army of Two: The 40th Day (360, PS3, PSP). Two EA Montreal employees are explaining to me how gay Army of Two isn't. For example, Bully was way more gay.

"It's gayer than Bully, where you can make out with a dude?" says an incredulous, amused Alex Hutchinson, creative director.

"You read into it what you want," says Reid Schneider, executive producer. New Army of Two: The 40th Day Screenshots

Following up on the lone screenshot that accompanied the unveiling of Army of Two: The 40th Day, Electronic Arts has provided a few more screenshots of EA Montreal's apocalyptic sequel, showing off more of the fist-bumping co-op shooter.
I got a look at the game early last week. Major additions? The "co-op playbook," essentially a visual radar that allows you to scan enemies and easily determine which co-op "moves" will be the most efficient to use in neutralizing them.

Stay tuned for more impressions later on--Army of Two: The 40th Day hits this winter on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PSP.

Army of Two: The 40th Day Announced

Mar 12, 2009 8:56am CST tags: Army of Two: The 40th Day, Electronic Arts, Screenshots, EA Montreal
As had been expected, Electronic Arts today officially announced Army of Two: The 40th Day, the co-op action game sequel featuring the two-man team of Salem and Rios.

In the game, Salem and Rios find themselves in Shanghai, China, which has been almost completely ruined. As they make their way through the city, they'll try to uncover the secret of the 40th Day.

According to EA, gamers can expect a lot more co-op moves (more ways to slap butts please), resulting in a more "organic and immersive" experience.

In development at EA Montreal, Army of Two: The 40th Day is out this winter for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PSP.
