Gamespot has posted an interview with Monolith's William Westwater, asking the designer about Aliens versus Predator 2. They chat about the response to the game, if there's anything in/about the game William would like to have done differently, any features that didn't make it in the game, what the AvP2 team is working on now, the relationship with Lithtech and a few other things like planned updates.

PlanetAvP has posted an interview with David Stalker, Fox producer for Monolith's Alien Versus Predator 2. There are some 20 questions about the game, followed by some misc. non-game related ones. Here's a bit from the multiplayer questions

PlanetAvP - I hear that you're working out on what multi-player modes should be in the game. What modes you all ready know will be in place, and what are you considering should be put in?
David Stalker - There are several different multiplayer modes including the classic Death Match and Species Death Match and the new Hunt, Overrun and Evac modes. Monolith packed in loads of functionality into the game browsing and configuration screens so that you can easily adjust each MP game as well as find the games that you are interested in. There's a fabulous in-game feature that will let you swap species on the fly without leaving the map [...]
PlanetAvP - Supposedly, there'll be three or four playable characters for each species in the game. Are you going for a Team Fortress type approach here?
David Stalker - In multiplayer there are many different playables per species. It's not TF…but something along those lines could be done (especially by some energetic young gamers when the tools come out!)

PC.IGN has conducted an interview with William Westwater of Monolith, talking about Aliens versus Predator 2. They ask him about the transitition of the game from the original developers Rebellion, making three seperate stories, the features of the Lithtech engine, balancing issues and more.

IGNPC: Are any of those features going back into the engine now? Have you come up with any features that will be included in future version of Lithtech?
William Westwater: Yeah, I mean 32-bit light-mapping I imagine will be, though I’m not with Lithtech, which is a separate company. We're on a 2.5 version of the engine, so we’re really closely related to NOLF in terms of evolution [...]

IGNPC: So where’s the game at now in terms of development?
William Westwater: Well, we’re pretty much on the fast track to ship it.

The guys over at www.computergaming.com have sent word that they will have an actual playable demo of AVP2 for download tomorrow at midnight. Didnt realize it was that close. Yow!

It's another self-described "Media Monday" on AvPNews. Which pretty much means they have a few new screenshots from Aliens versus Predator 2. Some good shots of enemy models as well as the Predator there.

AvPNews has a little something for the owners of the original Aliens versus Predator. Fox released some new levels for the game last year but they were only good for the people owning the Gold Edition. Well you can now grab those levels without needing the Gold Edition. Over at VE are 3 new screenshots from Aliens versus Predator 2 of which a demo is coming out next month.

Looks like we'll have a new FPS to play soon. PC Zone UK is saying they will have a demo of Aliens vs Predator 2 on their coverdisk next month. Also will be on their site on the 23rd of August. It will be a 54m download where you will play as the Marine. Thanks AvP News.
