Fallout 2

Dec 12, 2001 3:54am CST
For many Fallout 2 was the natural impulse buy after playing Fallout. Me? I'd never heard of Fallout when I picked up Fallout 2, in fact, it was part of a games bundle. For the first 2 weeks of owner I left it to one side, instead making merry with other lucky games. Then one rainy Sunday afternoon, I decided to slide open the case and slip game CD into my system, now there was no turned back...

A few hours later I was totally emerged in one of my all time favourite games. The graphics detailed, well thought out and always beautiful. My experience was all the more enhanced by the beautiful sound track, perfectly capturing the mood.

There are a few games in my collection that I've played more than any other. Operation Flashpoint, Jagged Alliance 2 and Fallout 2. Why? Because of the sheer scale and scope. It took in many happy months of play to complete Fallout 2, and when I did, I continued playing and explored the wastelands some more.

Every character has a story to tell, every action has an outcome. The way you play the game is reflected in the ending, you can and do make a difference.

I've spent time review focusing on the experience of playing Fallout 2, rather than looking at parts of the game, why? Because for me, that is the important point and I want you to discover that for yourself.
