Metroid Prime
This is the first Metroid game that managed to keep me interested for more than 15 minutes. If you know anything about Metroid you already know the story. It plays just like all the other Metroid games except from the First person Viewpoint.
Audio is excellent. i really don't have anything to complain about...at all in this category.
Graphics are unsurpassed. This is what truly kept me playing this game. it is so pretty that i couldn't wait to see what was in the next room.
Gameplay Like i said it plays like a Metroid game so there is lots and lots of backtracking which is so tedius for me that i almost had to put it down. the Control scheme is so bad that i almost drop kicked my GC more than once. I can't even count the number of times i fell off a ledge while looking for something or dodging a guy since i can't move and look at the same time. also, the dodge and jump being the same button didn't work out very well because sometimes you dodge..and sometimes you jump but you have no idea which one it will be. finding things is a real pain since you don't have enough directin and the world is really huge. fortunately the map helps out quite a bit as long as you have found the map room in each section otherwise it's worthless since you can't manuver it properly.
all in all this game is an exercise in frustration for 20 minutes followed by 5 minutes of fun over and over again for the entire length. i did finish it through liberal use of a FAQ and shack guidance and i'm pretty split as to whether it was worth it or not but that cannot diminish that this is a Good game even if it's not an exact match for me.
