Grand Theft Auto: Vice City

Jan 02, 2003 1:21pm CST
The Rockstar crew is proving itself worthing of my 50 bucks once again.

GTA: Vice City is an addicting game that tells the story of a drug deal gone wrong and one man, Tommy Vercetti, who plans to get his money back and some revenge while he's at it.

Graphics: 9/10

Beautiful graphics and lighting effects. They have the 80's groove down perfectly. Neon Lights and pink everywhere. The cars tear apart nicely. I almost gave this game a 10 but there are a few jaggies in some places. Thats why we love our PCs.

Gameplay: 8/10

The gameplay is great. It is the normal GTA, become a master criminal and earn respect with jobs, type game. Very violent like the other GTA games and lots of freakin cops. The place is swarming with cops. One other thing I like about Vice City is your ability to go inside many buildings which is a great way to hide from the cops. The cars are plentiful and each have their own purpose dunebuggies, golf carts, and motorcycles are only a few of the new types of cars they add. You can also beat the hell outta the cars(fun!). Helicopters are fun to fly around in and of course the dodo is there.

Sound: 10/10

Great DVD quality sound. With some old and new sound effects. One great sound is the sound of your character. YES he talks, he is funny and a smart ass. I loved it! There are many 80's songs that all of us knew back in the day from rap to love songs to pop (baby dropper) it's all there.

Overall: 9/10

If you own a PS2 get the game. If you don't they are probably working the PC port now.
