Faster Than Light

Jay Thompson sent in this link to an article on Sunday-Times.UK with word on some scientists who claim to have broken past the speed of light. The implications etc. of their work is just a bit crazy to say the least. The work is being done on the US:

The implications, like the speed, are mind-boggling. On one interpretation it means that light will arrive at its destination almost before it has started its journey. In effect, it is leaping forward in time. [...] It would also shatter Einstein's theory of relativity since it depends in part on the speed of light being unbreachable.
