While we wait for more news on Jagged Alliance 3, which has gone back into development after the IP was obtained by bitComposer Gamse, it looks like we can look forward to Jagged Alliance Online.

The game, a browser-based, tactical MMORPG, will be released in 2011 and will "follow the same basic principle as its predecessors, keeping the popular mixture of tactics, strategy, role-play and management and transferring it to a modern MMO world."

Interested parties can sign-up for possible beta access at the game's website, which will be giving away 1000 beta keys in a lottery. The final game will be released internationally, but it unclear if it will be accessible worldwide.

So now instead of playing this 11 year old game free single player, they will make it an MMO subscription based? Come on, how in the blue hell is this going to work??

Please keep working on JA3 and let it be isometric and turn based, update the graphic. I will even buy it with the same story, just updated graphic, weapons, and mercs. Seriously....

Ah yes, my bad. Reading comprehension fail :)

As soon as I saw MMORPG, I always think WoW.

Even then, who wouldnt want a full priced JA3 instead? Assuming its done right, of course.

The word "subscription based" isn't anywhere in the story. If you're inferring that from the "modern MMO world" part, that doesn't necessarily translate into a monthly subscription fee. It could adopt a free-to-play model for all we know.

I'm confused. Do you own the original JA2? Get the JA 1.13 Mod (combines every cool gameplay mod out there) and play the heck out of this grand game one more time.

If you don't own a copy of JA2, get it now and go to step 1.

I owned the original JA2 and Wildfire, finished JA2 but never finished Wildfire. I just saw the mod 1.13 and I will definitely install the JA2 with 1.13 mod again right after work.

        Awesome!
