Developer Black Hole Entertainment and publisher Ubisoft have announced Might & Magic Heroes VI.

The game's first cinematic trailer and a few screenshots of gameplay should be enough to get fans of the long-running series excited. Turn-based strategic gameplay returns in the series' latest installment that takes place four-hundred years before the events of Heroes of Might & Magic V.

The storyline is high-fantasy fare, involving a resurrected Archangel who's out to vanquish his enemies. Demons are preparing to invade, as the player assumes control of the human Griffin Dukes dynasty. Tried and true series gameplay staples like loot-collecting and castle-building will be bolstered by a brand new reputation system that will allow you to "choose your path, assume your choices and customize your gaming experience."

Might & Magic Heroes VI is planned for a 2011 release on PC.
