Thor and Okami's Amaterasu getting ready to battle in Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds

Although Capcom just revealed four new characters for its upcoming crossover fighter Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds, Marvel apparently wanted to join the announcement party as the company quietly (and accidentally) revealed two more members of the roster earlier today.

On the Marvel.com screenshot gallery for the game, images featuring The Mighty Thor and Okami's Amaterasu were uploaded. Unfortunately for the MvC3 marketing team, neither character has been confirmed for the upcoming title.

Discovered by NeoGAF, the leaked images feature concept art of the two roster additions as well as screens of both mythological characters battling each other. Marvel.com has since removed the images.

The addition of Thor and Amaterasu make perfect sense considering both franchises will soon see new properties based on their respective universes. Marvel is currently promoting its upcoming big screen adaptation of Thor at Comic-Con 2010, while Capcom is set to release a Nintendo DS-exclusive sequel to Okami in September.
