Lost Planet 2 Gets Earlier Release Date on Consoles, New Demo and PC Version in Fall

Capcom's super-sized insect Akrid shooter sequel Lost Planet 2 is now due to arrive on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 a week earlier than expected--May 11 instead of May 18 for North America--and will also be receiving a new downlodable demo shortly.

The new demo, slated to hit the Xbox 360's online marketplace April 21 and that of the PlayStation 3 on April 22, will offer sixteen-player online versus mode play on the "Turbulent Jungle" map. Those that play the demo and buy the game following its retail release will be rewarded with immediate access to the Machine Gun SP weapon.

However, not everyone will have to wait until late April to play the new demo, as Capcom will soon be handing out "community-distributed voucher codes" to its "most avid fans" so that they can "get a sneak preview of this demo beginning March 31."

Last, but not least, Capcom's media blast also confirmed that the long-expected PC release of Lost Planet 2 is now "scheduled for release in Fall 2010."

What do authenticators have to do with it? They were for passwords. So you say it would be a good solution against piracy to give people a machine to make unlimited serials? Right.
