With this year's Game Developers Conference in full swing, Microsoft has issued forth several new screenshots from Lionhead's upcoming action-RPG sequel Fable 3.

In addition, several new details on the game were revealed during creator Peter Molyneux's GDC presentation, including word that players can marry their online co-op partners and the revelation that Monty Python's John Cleese is voicing the butler.

An Xbox 360 exclusive, Fable 3 arrives this fall, complete with support for the platform's motion-sensing Project Natal add-on so that you can touch your virtual girlfriend.

Why do they keep the oddly proportioned character size? I do not think it helps the "fantasy" at all. I think the game would be a lot "darker" if they had realistic looking characters a la Uncharted 2.

I'm guessing a really dark and realistic game is not the goal they put for themselves. And fantasy styles come in all sorts of flavors, so you may want to rethink your use of the term. :)

I know many won't agree with me on this, but I think the choice in art style for a game should be respected, regardless of what it's like. It's a style they enjoy working with, and as an artist, that's something I can relate to. If anyone told me I should change my painting style because it's not dark and realistic enough, I'd be all "whatever, man".

What makes you think they were even going for realistic looking characters? What makes you think they want the game to be darker???
