Morning Discussion: Women's Day
So I did, but not without doing a little research first:
International Women's Day (8 March) is a global day celebrating the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future. In some places like China, Russia, Vietnam and Bulgaria, IWD is a national holiday.

Based on my playing time I can tell you it's definitely not due to kills. Revives with the defibrillator, general heals, spotting and laying down suppressing fire are the way I constantly rack up 5000+ points a round with a medic, even on my worst plays. There are always people needing revives. Just like any other class, you have to play up to the class' strengths to rack up those points which are reflective of your efficiency with a class overall.

I was thinking about this yesterday. My main class is easily the medic (I have over 3x the amount of points in that class vs others, the next closest being my vehicle score), so I've been playing a lot of the other classes lately. Yesterday I was playing as assault and it felt like I was constantly reloading, and getting caught doing so. I'd either be on offense and run into a couple guys, maybe kill 1or 2, and be forced to retreat and reload or die. On defense I find that I spot a couple guys and manage to kill 1 or 2 and then lose the rest because I have to reload.
On the other hand, with the medic, you can take out a LOT of guys before having to take the time to reload, and I find that I am significantly more effective at killing people as the medic, in addition to the fact that I have a huge amount of ammo and can bring my entire squad back to life. So I kind of agree it feels like the medic is a little overpowered at this moment but not so much that it's breaking the game. I also am only up to the XM8 as the assault at the moment. -

Haha, ya think? Let's count the ways:
Tank Medics
Recon homos who can kill across from the other side of the map, blow up tanks in one hit (c4) and rain death down at will (mortar strike)
Oh and lets not forget knife combat. There are more sword fights in this game then in a gay bath house. Normally I'd be fine with some nice melee combat except when I unload an automatic rifle into someone and yet they still have time to stand up, turn around and stick their knife through my eye socket. Slight balance problem there is the guns..

After spending an hour or so more last night trying to get some gaming done with a friend, I'm beginning to regret buying this game. I feel like I've supported developers/publishers using paying customers as beta testers, and treating PC gamers as second class gamers. Had I known it was going to be this bad, I would have at least waited until they got their shit working before buying.
The game itself is a blast based on the few hours I've managed to play. Which is about half of what time I've spent trying to play. -

Not for simply dropping them, but you get 10 XP for healing someone out of your squad, 20 XP if they're in your squad.
After a while you'll start to figure out the points of the map that people like to do standoffs and you'll find that dropping a med-pack right on top of them will yield quite a bit of XP. But remember, you can only have 1 med-pack down on the ground, so don't run around spam dropping 'em thinking you're doing good.
Also, defibs will be your best friend. If you're attacking, reviving your teammates is how you can stay in the game for just a weebit longer, as it replenishes a ticket. I'm usually running between both points of the map, finding people to revive. If none, I take to the M60 and spot people and possibly mow them down. You can hold down the left mouse button and be right on top of the guy with your reticule, even though it's spread wide open, and still do massive, accurate damage.

I like the game a lot but I get annoyed by being getting stuck with shitty squad members :( The game is amazing with the right squad but totally annoying with the wrong one.
GOOD SQUAD
- Be near something important at all times in order to facilitate squad spawns.
- Diverse classes per squad (at least one medic plz)
- Know how to drive the fucking helicopter.
- Spots enemies and calls out targets.
- If I die and I'm a medic, you pick up my kit and defib me.
- Moves together.
- Defends nodes.
BAD SQUAD
- Contains a medic that never drops health packs or defibs dead squad mates because hes too busy trying to be an assault class.
- Is a passenger in all the tanks but never repairs my tank when its exploding.
- Does not know how to fly the fucking helicopter.
- 3/4 of squad is recon and half way across the map.
- Goes lone wolf.
- Ignores defending A/B points even when there are bombs in them that need disarming.
Also playing a medic is a blast, but playing assault really sucks outside of having a grenade launcher. The guns really suck outside of the XM8 or whatever.

If you die and are a medic, doesn't picking up a kit swap yours out? So then you're no longer the medic, and there's no way to swap as far as I know. This is a strategy best used when you're isolated and there are no other medics around. Otherwise it's beneficial for everyone to let the medics do the medic jobs.

Rush is fine, no complaints, but I like how Conquest allows you to breathe a bit. The entire map is open and allows you to make the calls in what to do next, rather than knowing you have to get the same two spots that'll be obviously heavily guarded, or vice-versa.
Even though the standoffs are in the same places in Conquest maps, it still feels like a new experience each time and doesn't become redundant.
Rush, at this point, just seems like who can blow up the building first. And chances are, if there's no building to blow up, the team gets lazy and never attacks the other node which leads to an epic fail. I've seen this happen on the beta map plenty of times.

This game is good. Real fuckin good. BUT the only thing though about these new unlock FPS's is that at first you get relatively owned even if you have a pretty moderate or higher skill level in the game. In other words, in fire fights I can't shake the feeling that my PKM isn't nearly as deadly as some of the shit I'm going up against. That's a pisser. Atl east start me out with my class items like a Defib or Wrench to power level up fast to get weapons that shoot straight. :(
Oh well, not a big deal but there is that slight feeling of frustration until I get more firepower to do something with.... -
So i've come to to the conclusion that I dont like recon as a defender. I was making my final push for the m95 last night and so stuck with recon no matter what. I just felt unable to really react to much, never found a really good perch that could monitor the mcoms.
On the other hand, had some of my best rounds as an attacking recon last night. wound up 3rd or 4th on the team. Aside from spotting constantly and killing a good numer of people, my main high point was keeping the bomb ticking, with a clear los, recon is a defuser's worst nightmare. if recon is paying attention, nothing seals the deal better that dropping a mortar strike on an mcom just as your team arms it. not only does it keep them from rushing in to disarm (and hopefully killing those who already did) but it also provides a nice visual obstruction for your team who are probably scrambling to cover. also, nothing says headshot like a bomb diffuser just working away. for all the complaints about recons, i gotta say i felt pretty fucking useful last night on offense, on defense...not so much -

Man i couldn't even RUN the game this weekend, via Steam. Got some unavailable crap, and this was after it worked a few days prior. Turns out a bunch of files/folders were readonly, and had to do some "Data Execution Prevention" crap in Windows 7.
Maybe your issue is similar even somehow? Worth checking out, even if you aren't using Steam:
