"On the worst of Christmas, Lucifer sent to me nine hellish circles," declares this yuletide trailer for the Visceral Game's upcoming poem-inspired title Dante's Inferno.

The best part drops about 30 seconds in. Yes, an enemy that poops on you.

A downloadable demo of Dante's Inferno is now available in the PlayStation 3's online PlayStation Store, with Xbox 360 owners getting the demo on December 24. As for the full retail game, it hits both platforms (plus PSP, thanks to A2M) on February 9, 2010.

Nice trailer. Played the demo, pre-ordered it 2 hours later. Loved every aspect of it. Can't wait for the full game to come out.

Yeah, I enjoyed this a lot more than GoW too. Although I think they're very different games. God of War is somewhere between Assassin's Creed and Devil May Cry where there's a healthy mix of platforming and action while Dante's Inferno is more like DMC with just straight up action.

From the demo I would agree that Dante seems way more focused on hordes of enemies and no platforming. So saying that I enjoyed the demo, it is fun in all it's clone-ee-ness, but GoW is still better imo. I liked its constant changes between platforming, hordes, puzzles and bosses.

      Seriously frdranger?

The demo was soo bad. Graphics looked PS2. This game wants to be a GOW game, but sadly it falls short.
