Third Uncharted 2 Update Makes Playing Together Easier

7
The development team may be taking home some well-deserved awards for Uncharted 2 but they haven't slacked off around the office. Naughty Dog's Arne Meyer spelled out the details for the game's third title update which hit this morning on the PlayStation Blog.

While not particularly flashy, the patch brings two standout improvements to the online multiplayer. First, at the end of a game the group now drops back into matchmaking letting you keep good groups and games together. Second, they claim to have significantly decreased load times.

The update also allows the addition of a four letter clan tag that runs in front of your PSN ID. Tweaks to better balance Boosters and fixes for incorrect display of the Players Met screen in-game and XMB, and Double Cash not doubling medal cash rewards round out the update.

Is the game still extremely laggy for the player joining a coop game? That would help a lot more than matchmaking. It would be nice if you could choose which character you play in coop too, it's not as if there's any important story content in there.

I haven't had any lag issues with coop or otherwise since the game came out. Are you using the PS3's wireless? I may just be lucky though I don't know.

No, I'm not using wireless. I'm not sure what the problem is. I've been playing Resident Evil 5 coop without any problems at all.

I've never noticed lag and I'm running my PS3 on a wireless connection and I only have dsl. The multiplayer gives me some weird lag problems once in a while though.
