NCSoft has released a new Aion trailer titled 'Vision' showing many features not currently in the PC MMORPG, with only a florid cryptic description for explanation.

"As the Daevas dream, they see Atreia's future," the description reads. "The future of Aion--revealed! Your dreams your imagination becomes reality. With innovation Aion will make your imagination into reality. Aion's future will be your dreams made real."

Features on display include majorly revamped graphics, a weather system complete with flooding and settling snow, what appears to be player-built housing with decorating, mounts and mounted combat, swimming with underwater zones, plus epic battles.

"There will be at least one major update a year," NCSoft has said, explaining "there will be free content updates for all players, and we're looking then at how big the major updates will be." It is unknown whether 'Vision' will be free or is even a single update.

I played the Aion beta - I liked it, but I didn't dig the whole pvpve genre. If they had added more end-game PVE content then I would be playing.

But after watching that video - it's got me very, VERY convinced.

Yah, the video does look amazing. You didn't make it to the Abyss and the PvP content in the beta weekends did you? I know a few people did... but even playing all weekend through each of the beta's I only make it to the high teens 17 or 18 each time... no where near the 25 that you need to get to the large scale PvP and PvPvE endgame...

No, I did not make it that far. But after watching that video again, I think I will be re-activating my account, bite the bullet and see where this DLC takes the game.

Basically the way it works is you get to 25, you get an instance that lasts until 29. At 32 you can do Fire Temple for many many levels. At 40 you get Steel Rake (middle), and 43-44 you get Steel Rake lower and the first boss of upper. And around 45-46 depending on your group you can do the final boss.

Then you get a bunch more. Theo labs, dredgion (pvpve), and by 50 you have several more (that I'm not sure of cuz I'm not 46 yet).

There's plenty of PvE content really for a first release. More than most games have.
