BioWare Open to Jade Empire Sequel

16
While Dragon Age lead designer Mark Laidlaw says there are currently no plans for a sequel to BioWare's RPG Jade Empire, he says the company would be willing to tell another story in the Eastern-themed game.

"At this point, Jade Empire is a staff favorite and a lot of us love it, so we'd love to revisit it at some point," he said to Strategy Informer. "But right now, we are very focused on Dragon Age and Mass Effect 2." Jade Empire was released on Xbox in 2005, eventually seeing a PC release in 2007. Rumors of a sequel were kick-started in 2008, when journalist Dean Takahashi claimed that he'd spoken with someone who could confirm the sequel was in development as an Xbox 360 exclusive.

I think I was one of the few people who enjoyed Jade Empire.

I really liked it too. Not as good as some of their others, but still good IMO.

Easily worst Bioware game to date. It was easy, predictable and boring.

I remember getting a questionaire about a Sequel to Jade Empire 2 a long time ago... the questions made it sound like it was going to be set in the future and you played as a cop who's partner betrayed him or something cliche like that. Anybody else remember getting that? My responses were mostly negative.

I bought the PC version. The controls were fucked.

I had no problems with the PC controls...

Really liked Jade Empire, it wasn't overall as great as KotOR but still pretty good in my book. Yeah combat wasn't so challenging/interesting but that's not really what I played the game for anyway.

You must have played it on easy or normal. Try it on the master difficulty, then you have one hard ass game. I'm not sure why the other peeps didn't like it :-/. I had a hella good time playing it.

Horribly generic game that had so many exploits I felt like a monkey just playing it.
