  Am I missing something about counter attacks? According to the technique scroll and my inventory page, if I press [] [] or /\ while blocking, I should counter an enemy attack. However, nothing ever seems to happen and Ryu just stands there in a block pose. Do I need to time it exactly as/after the enemy hits me, or do I need to roll beforehand, or what?

    You kind of hear a Twangy sound is when you hit the button. You can semi spam it and it will start the combo. How far in are you?

      When you say the "twang" sound do you mean teh sound of the enemy attack being deflected by my block?

    You need to time it I believe so right before the enemy hits you press the button.

    This is what I'm hoping for. Currently I have to wait for them to finish their little attacks before I move in and usually [][]->[]u[/\]u or ->/\ them, but it would be great to be able to interrupt their attacks.
