Rumor: Xbox 360, PS3 Price Drops Coming This Fall
A new story based on a trusted Ars Technica source says that the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 are both in for price cuts this fall.
While the source did not provide figures or dates, Ars claims that the Xbox 360 Pro will "disappear in July or August," to be replaced by the current 120GB Elite model following a September price cut.
Ars similarly predicts that the PlayStation 3 80GB model will be phased out over the next 60 days, with a price cut on the 160GB to coincide with the launch of the PS3 Slim.
