Alpha Protocol Screenshots Lack Subtlety

5
Obsidian's espionage RPG Alpha Protocol lets players create their own perfect secret agent--a stealth assassin who strikes from the shadows and vanishes without a trace.

You can also toss all that malarkey out the window in favour of tailoring your spy for firefights, explosions and all-round devastation, as new screenshots demonstrate.

Alpha Protocol is out for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in October.

This game looks great. I just really wish the main character wasn't so generic looking. It would be great if we could create our own like in Mass effect. Or Obivion or Fallout.

Eh, I'm sure they thought about that one too. I trust Obsidian on this one; if they want to restrict us to one dude (like in Planescape: Torment or something) then I imagine they'll make the most of him.

In the second screenshot it looks like the guy shooting has more hair than the really short haired guy we've seen mostly. Hopefully that bodes well for some character customization.

Needs more spikey hair and zipperpants eh?

I saw it at E3. You can make your own character (or at least choose from several) because different monitors had different looking characters.

The actual game looked pretty rad. Combat looked much more action based than other Obsidian games.
