Michael Phelps Video Games Will Be 'Pure Action' and 'The Next Tiger Woods,' Vows Publisher

Though endorsed and branded by Olympic swimmer and 14-time gold medalist Michael Phelps, 505 Game's as-yet-untitled Michael Phelps video games will be more than just swimming.

In fact, they'll be "pure action," according to 505 Games president Adam Kline. However, he refused to speak further on the matter, as the company is still investigating a few different solutions.

"We believe it's the next Tiger Woods project...it could be here for the next 10 years," he informed the Baltimore Sun, as noticed by Kotaku. "Swimming will be a part of it, but it won't be set in an Olympic pool going back and forth."

Described as a "first-of-its-kind video game," the initial Phelps-branded experience is slated to hit the iPhone and unspecified consoles in spring 2010. Development is being handled by 505 Los Angeles, with a chance it may feature some of Phelp's teammates.
