A demo is coming early 2009, but while you wait for that Capcom has released new screenshots and two videos from the co-op zombie action game (PS3, X360).

    Ugh,
Great graphical updates to the series, but its looking more and more like they have ruined the fear/shock drama and turned it in for a run n' gun zombiefest and made the pace/gameplay more like gears/halo/crap

    dissapointed

It looks identical to RE4 in terms of gameplay...did you expect them to revert back to RE1-3 after the huge success of 4?

I mean yeah, its definitely not the same, but I guess I don't see how you are still disappointed. Everyone knew this is how it would be.

        not so,

although not shown in this video, inventory system is recreated,

The amount of zombies thrown at you looks to be dramaticly increased , the "speed" of things is definately increased..

re4 was good, but its just a downward spiral from what makes resident evil a great game.

wont sell me on the "its like re4 " cuz even from the posted videos shown , its definately not.

and re4 still wasnt as good as the previous ones.

I don't even bother comparing it to the first games, they're nothing alike imo. I love RE4 and I think RE5 looks awesome, but it would be nice to have a classic style RE game. Preferably one that tackles some of the earlier design problems.

Doesn't look that much faster to me, and not that many more zombies either, it just looks like the player lets them get all up on him - which may primarily have to do with the video taking place in close quarters. I remember numerous scenarios in 4 where there were that many at once. Shrug. Too each their own, I suppose. Looks like more of 4 to me, which is good in my eyes.

      have you played the demo?

it's basically RE4 with updated graphics. disappointing to me, but it sounds like you'll be relieved.
