Guitar Hero World Tour Gets Re-recorded Motorhead, Sex Pistols and MC5 Tracks

Continuing its recent series of revelations, publisher Activision today unveiled three more of the tracks that will appear in this fall's release of Guitar Hero World Tour:
  • Motorhead - "Overkill"
  • The Sex Pistols - "Pretty Vacant"
  • MC5 - "Kick Out the Jams"

Each song was specially re-recorded for the game by memebers of the original band. While the MC5 tune retains the original vocals, it is to "update and modernize the sound" through the participation of MC5 guitarist Wayne Kramer, Alice in Chains guitarist Jerry Cantrell and former Guns N' Roses rhythm guitarist Gilby Clark.

Sporting drums and vocals in addition to the traditional guitar play, Guitar Hero World Tour is slated to hit PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii.
