Freezing Glitch Halts Strong Bad WiiWare
Reports are circulating of a game-stopping bug in the WiiWare version of Telltale Game's downloadable adventure effort Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People, Episode 1: Homestar Ruiner, which just arrived this past Monday.
Said to afflict Wii users playing in widescreen and 480p, the glitch causes the system to lock up during the trophy presentation ceremony. In order to avoid the issue, Telltale currently recommends that gamers turn off widescreen and play that part in 480i.
"Sorry it's freezing on you," Telltale employee Emily wrote on the studio's official board. "You might want to try switching to 480i from 480p, or turning off widescreen."
The company has yet to issue a comment on a more permanent solution, though Shacknews has contacted Telltale for more information.
