Street Fighter 4 Heading to PC, PS3, 360 (Updated)

Update: Capcom has issued a confirmation asserting that Street Fighter IV will indeed appear on the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 along with some new screenshots.

However, the company did not clarify or confirm the supposed winter release window that was previously reported by Jeuxvideo.

Original Story: Capcom is planning to release Street Fighter IV on PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 this winter, according to a report from Jeuxvideo.fr

While Capcom has only officially announced an arcade version of the long-awaited fighter, console editions have been expected ever since its unveiling. The French site claims it obtained the information from a now-removed listing on a Capcom press site.

A PC version would continue Capcom's recent support of the platform, as evidenced by last year's port of Lost Planet: Extreme Condition, this week's enhanced re-release Lost Planet: Extreme Condition - Colonies Edition, and the upcoming PC edition of Devil May Cry 4.

Though this rumor appears rooted in common sense, it is supported by the fact that Capcom is holding its big CAPTIVATE 08 Media Summit event later this week and the part where there has already been one apparent leak of embargoed information.

I didnt realize this was announced as arcade only. I just assumed it was a console game from the start.

Also, a PC port would be interesting. What was the last traditional fighter released on the pc?
