Something we've sorely lacked around these parts for no apparent good reason is a better interface for people to share and interact with their gaming library. We have this huge database of thousands of games that you guys never get to mess around with. So Maarten and I are going to try and change that. We're hoping to put together over the next couple of weeks a bit of an open beta of the Shacker game library system. The hope is that you'll be able to share all of your gaming interests and achievements but more interestingly compare and see statistics from the thousands of other Shackers. What game is owned by the most Shackers? What % of Shackers were dumb enough to buy Black & White and will admit it? Important questions that need answers!

As for the the videogame news around these parts for today:

Lastly, if you are morbidly curious in my html and css butchery I'll probably start sharing within the comments in the next day or two some laughable concepts of what the Shacker library will look like. If this project proves popular though we'll try and hire some web developers with actual talent. Oh, and yes we'll seriously look at open standards and OpenID etc. in the future.
