R-Type Command Screens Feature Ships, Grids
Publisher Atlus released a fresh batch of screenshots of Irem's R-Type Command (PSP), a tactical send-up of the long-running shooter franchise.
The grid-centric strategy game—known in Japan as R-Type Tactics—tasks players with defending Earth by launching an attack into the heart of the Bydo Empire. The game features close to 100 different unit types as well as two-player local wireless multiplayer.
R-Type Command is due for release on May 6. A demo of the game is available for free download from the PlayStation Store on the PS3 or PC.
