Child's Play Raises Record $1.3M In 2007
Gamer-driven charity Child's Play announced that a grand total of $1.3 million dollars in video games, books, toys and other items was raised in its 2007 fundraising drive, according to the charity's website.
The charity approached and eventually toppled its 2006 $1 million record in December, and was only recently able to account for the flood of donations sent in.
Founded in 2003 by Penny Arcade creators Jerry Holkins and Mike Krahulik, the organization provides over 40 hospitals around the world with the means to better entertain sick children.
