Sony Releases Images of Skype PSP Headset: Same As It Ever Was

4

Sony has released a handful of images of the new Skype headset for the slim PSP, officially announced earlier this week.

You may remember the Skype PSP headset back in its heyday of being a plain ol' PSP headset, originally released in late 2005 alongside Zipper Interactive's SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo (PSP) to support the game's built-in online voice chat function. What's old is new again!

I bought a PSP a couple of years ago too. Waste of fucking money until I got it homebrew enabled.

I'm interested on a psp for the homebrew stuff but after looking at all the bios hacks/battery swaps and forced bios updates w/every new game i was like forget it.

i'll just buy a laptop and play some older rts games

They announced this awhile ago, here on shacknews. It's for the slim (white/silver/i think black?) only. The one I bought when they first launched is basically a paperweight/oversized jump drive. Why not just get a Sony mylo, it does the same fucking thing as this, only it doesn't play video games, but instead has Aim/Yahoo/Google IM and Skype, plays mp3's and videos(WHILE DOING OTHER THINGS) and can also use a fully featured web browser (with flash) with a full QWERTY keyboard. It also has a 1.3 MP camera built in so you can slap it on your Facebook/Myspace account.
