Turbine Announces DX10 Support for LOTR Online
Turbine has announced today that Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar (PC) is the first MMORPG to support the DirectX 10 API. The update is available now to subscribers.
As per the graphical enhancements offered by the upgrade, players can expect upgraded shaders for water, new particle effects and lighting for distant terrain. Additionally, dynamic shadowing features exclusive to the DirectX 10 API will render real-time shadows in the game's outdoor environments.
