Guitar Hero 3 Wii DLC Expected Next Year

Activision subsidiary RedOctane hopes to provide Wii owners with downloadable content for Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock in 2008.

"There is no definite timetable in place but we are hoping it will be soon," the company told Nintencast. "Downloadable content for the Wii is something we are working very hard on getting in place for the new year."

Before the game released, RedOctane was unsure if downloadable content would be available for Wii owners, with developer Vicarious Visions said to be working with Nintendo in its attempts to find a solution.

Thus far, downloadable content for the Neversoft-developed PS3 and Xbox 360 versions has delivered new songs--some free, some not--to wanna-be rockers.

Chris Faylor was previously a games journalist creating content at Shacknews.

Now see that's awesome. Good Luck to those involved getting this done. I will be ready with my Wii Points!

Agreed! I'd pick up Slither and the "boss songs" tracks the moment they hit the Wii market
